Luxury Halong Cruises, Lan Ha Cruises - Escape Sails

Terms and Conditions

1. Deposit and Final Payment

A booking can only be made with a deposit of at least 30% of the total cost of the tour, which is payable through online payment using a credit card or a bank transfer. The remaining balance must be paid before the starting date of the tour, though both this and the deposit amount are subject to change depending on which services are booked by the client. Upon your booking of a tour, an Escape Sails consultant will tell you the exact amounts required for both the deposit and the final payment.

Escape Sails reserves the rights to cancel its services with the client if the client does not pay the remaining balance by the specified due date.

2. Payment Method

+ Via debit or credit card utilising online payment: Escape Sails uses a ‘secured online payment gateway’ called OnePay for deposits and final payments from clients, through which we accept all major credit cards such as American Express, MasterCard, Visa and JCB. Your travel consultant will send you the link to pay online upon booking, but please be aware that there is a 3% transaction fee for any amount paid.

+ Via bank transfer: Escape Sails advises clients to use a bank transfer for large payments in order to avoid the transaction fee.

3. Confirmation

For the majority of our services, Escape Sails will be able to confirm your booking in a 24-hour timeframe after we receive your deposit. On occasions where confirmation must be urgent, we will be able to confirm as soon as we receive the deposit. In the case of a change to services made after you receive your confirmation, an Escape Sails consultant will inform you of this via telephone or email.

4. Cancellations and Cancellation Fees

You may cancel your service with Escape Sails at any time, though doing so will mean that our cancellation policy applies as follows:

  • 15 days before the departure date: Your cancellation will be free of charge and 100% of your payment will be returned.
  • Between 1 to 14 days before the departure date: Your cancellation will cost 10% of the total payment and 90% of your payment will be returned.
  • Cancellation on the day of the tour or in the event of a no-show: Your cancellation will cost 100% of the total payment and none of your payment will be returned.

Note: If you do have to cancel then please let your Escape Sails travel consultant know the reason why. We will always endeavour to satisfy our customers regardless of their reason for cancellation.
